• 1962: Foundation of the Hinrichs tree nursery by Walter Hinrichs in Edewecht (initially on 0.5 ha in the open field, predominantly production of conifers)
• 1991: Heike and Hajo Hinrichs take over the company
• Acquisition of 35 ha of agricultural land in Westerscheps and establishment of a new business according to rational criteria. Creation of the first container areas.
• 1992: Construction of an irrigation pond with the possibility of collecting rainwater, irrigation water and return water and returning it to the irrigation circuit. Construction of the first production hall.
• Construction of further greenhouses.
• Continuous creation of new container areas.
• Currently, 25 ha of open field and 15 ha of container area are cultivated, including 2.5 ha of greenhouse area for controlling growth conditions.
• August 2014: Inauguration of the new air-conditioned dispatch and logistics hall – another milestone in the development of Hinrichs Pflanzen.
